Oceanographic radars

As a part of HYD2M, two HF radar systems will be deployed, transmitting at two different frequencies (13.5 MHz and 24.5 MHz) to measure sea states and currents with a spatial range of one kilometer.

Moreover one X-band radar will be used to measure sea states with a spatial range of a few hundred meters.

A VHF radar (donated by the University of Toulon) will be setup to measure currents with a spatial range of a few hundred meters. It will transmit at 45 MHz.
